Good Afternoon Resident, 1️⃣ What do we want you to know? Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team was out on Coalport Road yesterday as part of Op Aurora, targeting speeding drivers. Speeding is one of the main causes of serious collisions and we’re committed to keeping our roads safe for everyone. 2️⃣ How do we want you to feel? We want you to feel reassured that we’re listening to community concerns and taking action. We've been working hard with Broseley Town Council and Shropshire Council to ensure the signage in this area is appropriate and improvements have been made. Every driver has a responsibility to protect lives and slow down. 3️⃣ What do we want you to do? Please stick to the speed limits and encourage others to do the same. Out of 60 vehicles checked, 8 were travelling well above the 30MPH speed limit and will be dealt with accordingly. Surprisingly, 6 of these vehicles came to back to local addresses, who should be well aware of the speed limit. 4️⃣ What will we do? We will continue to monitor and enforce speed limits on Coalport Road to keep the community safe.
